As for your quote:
"Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns. I am thankful that thorns have roses."
– Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr

I think it is so important to surrond yourself with people who have the "glass is half full" approach to life. I think Sloanies epitomize that philosophy of life, which is why I find them all to be such a comfort! - Amy

boy that was alot to take in...tehehe.

i think that the red poppies quilt is awesome. i really should add that to the 'to quilt' list. really.

and true story. i was at joann's last night, picking up fabric for a quilt i'm making for my first major quilt festival entry. {yayyy.} and anywho, i picked up your book, 'can't believe i'm quilting beyond the basics' and thought to myself, "i should get this." then i thought, "well on your next trip, because you are buying a million dollars in fabric today." so i gracefully put it back in it's home, and now this morning, i wish i would have just bought it since we are going to be doing a 'sew along'...brillant timing i have i know. lol.

i'm excited about the new book club block.

and of course...i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the peaches farmers market block...georgia girl here. tehehe.

and lastly...i LOVE taffy. and i love the round ones. mandie, my best gal pal, brought me back some taffy from vegas {i know vegas???} and it was pretty good. we used to watch this store downtown pull the fresh taffy...good times.
