A Few New Things in the Store
While teaching recently one of the students had this GREAT chalk Pencil! It was new to me and I loved it! Great for drawing shapes on dark fabric. In the Notions/Tools section

I'm forever buying Fusible Fleece... so I decided to just get it for the store! Great for totes, bags, placemats and table runners! Find it on the Notions/Supply page

When I first started designing I had my patterns published by Indygo Junction company. I'm getting a few of those for the store and this Tote with Ticking is really easy to do!

There are several attachments for the Guideline ruler. I got 2 of them for the store. The one pictured is to combine 2 rulers so you can do long cuts, sweet! The 2nd attachment in the store is a nifty way to take the math and guessing of seam allowances out of cutting squares, rectangles and diamonds with the S bar. Half square triangles with the H bar and quarter square triangles with the Q bar.

Thoughts and a Quote
You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will
suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need. - Jerry Gillies |
Isn't that a GREAT quote?
Really it is a LIFE CHANGING quote. It's exciting to find your path, exciting to walk the trail it leads you on, exciting to wake up every day happy to be doing what you love!
Not sure what your path is? Do you need to try something new? Do you need to feed your soul?
Make a list of things you love to do. Are you doing them?
Make a list of things that are important to have in your life. Are you including them?
Make a list of things you WANT to do but have not done yet. Now Pick one, do it this week or start the process to make it happen.
For me I'm doing the job I dreamed of and planned for since I was a little kid. I wanted to design and make things. I wanted to have a 'store'. I wanted to share my love of making things with others.
And what do I want to do next? Next I need to add balance back to my life as building a business involves taking on big tasks and working long hours to make them happen. And at some point that became a habit and the balance is off. I think of it like a motorcycle going fast and low around the curve, at some point you go upright and straight again.
So for me I'm working on getting upright and straight. Something that I didn't realize I needed to do. I have so much fun doing what I do each and every day that being a bit out of balance sort of happened and I didn't know it!
It's good to assess things isn't it? I hope you make a few lists and make a few changes. Let me know how it's going... and I'll let you know how I'm doing.... I promise!
And I'll see you at the sky bar, the view is fabulous!
